Thomas Edward Carlyle
April 23, 1932 - December 09, 2015
SAVANNAH – Thomas Edward Carlyle, 83, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015. He is survived by his son, Thomas Edward Carlyle, Jr. (Alice) and his daughter, Cynthia Carlyle Johnson (Gary). He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Teague Carlyle. They were married for 62 years and lived their entire lives in Savannah.
He was a real estate developer and a coach. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War and served in the Color Guard at Arlington National Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He was an avid golfer at Bacon Park and will be sorely missed by his friends and family. He was an excellent father and husband who meant a great deal to many in this community.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the cemetery.

Dear Tom and Cindy, Your father will be greatly missed. Every time I ride by Bull River (I think) in the boat, I remember the great times we had water skiing. Coach Carlyle was a gem. He was a wonderful coach and mentor to many. What a joy it was to see him recently at the Hancock reunion. He will be very fondly remembered. We are so lucky to have had him in our lives.
